lundi 30 decembre

We were delighted to wake in the morning to find that it was still snowing, everything was covered in a thick blanket of powdery snow!
The view from my window - room #104 ....

..and from cathy's window on the 4th floor ....

After a typical French breakfast at the hotel - croissants, jam, bagette, coffee, cereal and fruit - we rugged up and set off to find our way to the town centre and some of the landmarks we had been told about. We bought a travel card giving us unlimited access to trains, buses and funiculaire in Lyon for 1 month.

Me, Cathy and Belinda ....

The neige created a winter wonderland - so beautiful,!

Cool bikes for hire!

The local children were tobogganing, they seemed as excited as us to find themselves with an early snowfall, apparently the biggest in about 40 years!
